On their traces we meet fascinating people in India and Germany, getting a poetic and moving impression of the ups and downs of life. The legend of Shiva and Parvati is about love and grief, life and death and the courage to go ones own way. In the Himalaya Mountains, where the heaven touches the earth, lives the passionate God Shiva with his wife Parvati. In these legendary mountains a German woman meets an Indian yogi. His disciples are deeply worried when a strong love grows between their master and the young woman until they realise that Shiva has now found his Parvati. Many years later their son recounts how both of them tried to find their own, genuine path between legend and reality.
