GLIDE Memorial United Methodist Church to host special rally in honor of Trayvon Martin with words from GLIDE founders Reverend Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, GLIDE’s ministry team, music from the GLIDE Ensemble with John Turk and the Change Band, spoken word, and more. The community is invited to share their thoughts and solutions for breaking the cycles of racism in the U.S.
Trayvon Martin, an unarmed African-American teen, was shot and killed in Florida late last month by a neighborhood watch captain who has not been charged with a crime.
