Glen Allen Day 2011 September 17, 2011

The 15th Annual Glen Allen Day Parade and Fair will be held Saturday, September 17th, 2011. The theme for the this year's celebration is "Glen Allen: Past, Present, Future" in honor of the 400th Anniversary of Henrico County.

The Glen Allen Day 2011 Parade will begin at 9:30AM on Mountain Road at John Cussons Drive and will proceed westbound along Mountain Road, turning right entering Crump Park and ending at RF&P Park.

The Glen Allen Day Arts and Crafts Fair featuring local artists, crafters and other exhibitors will begin at 10AM and continue until 4PM. The Glen Allen Ruritan Club will cook and sell pork barbecue, hot dogs and hamburgers. Other refreshments and treats available for purchase will be provided by other clubs and event sponsors. Proceeds will benefit the Glen Allen community.

Family fun and games including moonwalks and a custom/classic car show will be featured as well as a petting zoo and live entertainment.

Live music and entertainment acts will be announced closer to the event date.

Applications for the Glen Allen Day Arts & Craft and Business Fair are being accepted now, as well as applications for the Glen Allen Day Parade and Custom Car Show events.
