The special evening will raise awareness for pancreatic cancer, the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. and help increase the visibility of a frequently fatal disease.

A silent and aggressive disease, it is one of the most difficult tumors to detect and diagnose early. In most cases, symptoms develop after the cancer has already spread. As a result, diagnosis is frequently made when the cancer is in advanced stages. However, pancreatic cancer research is currently under-represented and under-funded.

The Giving Hope Gala thanks Corporate Sponsors SunTrust Bank, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Rockville Interiors & Fabrics and Ed Chasen Fine Art Gallery for their generous support.
