While preparing for this year’s back-to-school season, why not start with a lesson on giving back? Local families are being encouraged to pick up an extra set of school supplies to donate to the more than 60 students in need at the Orange County Rescue Mission.
On Saturday, August 18 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., the Orange County Rescue Mission will hold a “Back-To-School Supply Drive” to collect essential school supplies for those less fortunate at the Village of Hope in Tustin.
This is an easy way to give back to those in need, while also checking off your child’s back-to-school supplies list.
Community members are encouraged to drop off individual supplies, or full backpacks. Supplies needed include:
Backpacks, Notebooks, Pens, Pencils and Erasers, Colored Pencils, Crayons and Markers, Pencil Sharpeners, Markers, Rulers, Calculators, Glue and Glue Sticks, Scissors, Pencil Cases, Wide ruled paper and Lined paper, Tissue packs, Hand sanitizer, Granola Bars.
