One of the world’s most celebrated dance companies will be in residence at American Dance Institute (ADI) this February, as the arts center continues its mission of bringing world-renowned talent to Montgomery County, MD. The choreography of American jazz dance pioneer Gus Giordano will captivate audiences at American Dance Institute. His celebrated company Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago will present vibrant performances for dance enthusiasts.
“It’s an incredible honor to have Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago in residence at American Dance Institute,” said Michael Bjerknes, executive director of American Dance Institute. “Hosting such esteemed artists here continues our mission to bring to Montgomery County the best in dance today.” Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, known for their passion, powerful athleticism and humor, was founded in the early 1960’s by Gus Giordano. The company works to nurture and preserve the unique art of American jazz dance, which they define as a reflection of the emotions, dreams and desires of American people.
There will be a second performance on Sunday, February 25th at 2 p.m.
