Gingerbread Festival Downtown Downers Grove November 25, 2011

Downtown Downers Grove presents “The Gingerbread Festival” November 25 - November 27, 2011. The Main Street Train Station will sparkle with 100,000 lights and come to life with the “Painting with Lights Spectacular” to kick-off the Gingerbread Festival! Downers Grove will be the first Municipality in the country to host this particular state-of-the-art show (outside of Disney World).

Downtown Downers Grove is offering something for all ages to enjoy: Gingerbread Story-time, Tree Lighting Ceremony, “Painting with Lights Spectacular,” XRT Gingerbread Man Search, Gingerbread House Contest, visits with Santa in his Gingerbread House, Small Business Saturday, Gingerbread Boy and Girl perusing town, "A Gingerbread Man for Christmas" play and Complimentary Carriage Rides.

The Gingerbread Festival is the kick-off to A Wonderful Season in Downtown Downers Grove. Santa will be in his house all season every Saturday and Sunday from 12-3pm.
