The GLBT Arts Consortium and the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) present the G&S Sampler - drawn from The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, Iolanthe, The Gondoliers, among others – on August 3-4 and 10-11, at 7 pm, matinees on Saturday, August 4 and 11, at 3 pm. Performances are at CHAW, 545 7th Street, SE. Tickets are $20 for the evening shows, $10 for the matinees, and are available at 202-547-6839 and www.chaw.org.
Songs are drawn from The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, Iolanthe, The Gondoliers, Ruddigore, Patience, and the Pirates of Penzance. Cast members hail from All Souls Jubilee Singers, Bread & Roses Feminist Singers, DC’s Different Drummers, Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, Lesbian & Gay Chorus of Washington, and the community-at-large.
