The Ghosts of Kalamazoo Historic Tour provides a historic account of Kalamazoo with a twist – delivering the weird, the haunted, and the historic stories found throughout Kalamazoo. Each night, a ticket is good for a unique walking tour of various historic sites throughout the City of Kalamazoo.
The tours run on Friday and Saturday nights in October (beginning October 9). Tours will leave the starting location every 20 minutes, with the last tour leaving 45 minutes before close. Each tour will last 30-45 minutes.
The opening weekend of the Tour will explore Riverside Cemetery. Founded in 1862, Riverside is the resting place for over 84,000 citizens, and provides a snapshot of the history of Kalamazoo's farmers, merchants and factory workers.
According to Tour President Eric Schmidt, “We’re not your typical 'scary' Halloween event – we’re focused on telling interesting stories in great locations. The Ghosts of Kalamazoo Historic Tour is definitely a nice change of pace from the typical haunted house-style event.”
As spots on the Tour are limited, reservations are encouraged, and may be placed at our website.
