Apple's iMovie app makes it straightforward, and this bootcamp will help you learn how to turn a jumble of video clips and photos into a coherent, compelling short movie, ready to upload to YouTube, Vimeo or host on your Web site.

How to tell a story with video
Lighting, audio and framing tricks to improve your footage
Titles and transitions: what's best, what's necessary?
Fine-tuning cuts and transitions to get the timing "just right"
Audio tracks and public domain content
Publishing to your YouTube channel directly from within iMovie
Whether you have a videographer following you around or want to experiment with the webcam built in to your computer, you'll learn how to produce professional videos that'll help your business gain visibility in your marketplace!

NOTE: Students are encouraged to bring their own Mac laptops and will have time for hands on work. If you have a PC you can use an app like Microsoft Windows Movie Maker (a free download from microsoft.com) but the instruction will be focused on the Mac workflow and tools.
