Getting Started in Altered Books with Rikki Mitman April 20, 2011

Altered books are great for journals, memory books, and thematic art. While there are no rules, there are techniques to create a cohesive, durable piece. In this hands-on intensive workshop, you'll learn to select base books, strengthen pages, and build various internal structures, including pockets, fold-outs, and niches.

You will learn various ways to collage and incorporate materials into your altered book.

All materials – including books – are provided; no previous art experience necessary.
