Before you can reach out to others, you need to get organized to tell your own story. In this workshop, learn about two key considerations that in an online age need to be part of how you think about communications: tracking your constituents with databases and thinking through your technology needs.
Participants will leave with:
* A clear understanding of the potential and promise of effective database use and the practice necessary to make one work
* List of the top database tools that community organizers use
* Overview of the technology planning cycle - what needs to happen, what order it needs to happen in, and who needs to do it
* Learn the "GOLDEN RULE" of technology planning, without which all technology implementation will fail
