Get Your Free “Portfolio Photo” & Improve Your Job Hunt Skills July 12, 2011

We meet July 12 in the St. Mary Immaculate Parish Faith Sharing Room at 15629 S. Route 59 in Plainfield.

Professional Photographer, Jim DePatie will provide your free portrait photo on a CD for you to use on your Handbill, Business Card and LinkedIn or Facebook profile.

Photo reservations are required. Email employmentministry@smip.org to be assigned your reservation time, first come - first served. Jim will begin at 6:30pm and end at 9pm. A confirmed reservation time will be sent to you via return email. Please be at least 10 minutes early dressed in “business interview attire.”

To improve your “job hunt” skills, come at 6:30pm for an introduction to networking tools like the Handbill and the Elevator Speech. At 7:00pm, you can participate in a structured "Networking Session" to practice skills and expand your network. Bring copies of your handbill or resume.

You can also meet with our volunteer career coaches (each an experienced hiring manager) for a one-on-one "Work Session" to get your resume and handbill reviewed, develop networking & interviewing skills, or talk about spiritual/emotional/financial help needs.
