If you write “please find enclosed,” “please feel free,” or “for free” – don’t. These are just a few of the many unnecessary and incorrect words and expressions we say and write. After writing a thank-you note in class, incorporate these techniques and see a remarkable improvement in your second attempt. The instructor’s textbook, 101 Dumb Things We Write, is included in the registration fee. High school students are welcome to enroll.
