Self-described "rural folk piano" player George Winston was among the earliest and most successful proponents of the genre of contemporary instrumental music later dubbed new age. The piano music George is currently working on is about two-thirds R&B/Standards, and one-third melodic music. The latter comprises most of his recorded output, and is in a genre described as rural folk piano. For the most part, George has chosen to record albums with specific themes. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Maple/Morgan Park Food Pantry. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted.
