George Lopez is one of the premier comedic talents in the entertainment industry today. Maintaining an extremely active schedule as a stand-up comedian, George is a sell-out attraction coast to coast and has headlined concerts at prestigious venues. In 2001, Lopez hosted a major morning radio for Clear Channel Communications in Los Angeles. He was the first Latino to have headlined the keystone morning radio slot on an English-language station in LA--the nation's top radio market. Lopez received the 2003 Imagen Vision Award, 2003 Latino Spirit Award for Excellence in Television and the National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Award. In September 2004, George was honored with the "Spirit of Liberty Award" presented by People for the American Way. In August 2005, Time Magazine recognized George as one of "The 25 Most Influential Hispanics In America." His sitcom, 'The George Lopez Show' aired on ABC from 2004 to 2007, and is seen in syndication on the CW and Nick at Nite.

This is the 3rd live performance of his that I have attended. It was an okay show, but something was obviously wrong... the band played for an entire hour before the first comedian came on, and then George Lopez followed for exactly 1 hour. The Cedar Park Center was ghetto compared to the Nokia Center and the American Airlines Center in Dallas that I've visited before. They placed this little bity stage in the center of the arena and our "floor seats" were just your average run of the mill metal folding chairs that were arranged in rows next to the stage! I was disappointed by the entire experience.... Next time I will be sure to see him in an event center that I am familiar with.
