Cognitive scientist and linguist, George Lakoff, visits the library to discuss his latest book, "The Political Mind: Why You Can't Understand 21st Century American Politics with an 18th Century Brain", which examines the impact that language and emotion have on our political beliefs. Book sale and signing to follow.
Lakoff is a well-known progressive speaker and is most noted for his book "Don't Think of an Elephant" which attempts to frame progressive values. He should have some great comments about the election.
