Look out for an exciting 3D art show inspired by Sumatra: Isle of Gold as students from the LASALLE College of the Arts reinterpret the exhibits through the lens of contemporary designers.

After viewing the Sumatra exhibition, these Visual Studies Foundation students made sketches and studies of artefacts that appealed to them. Next, using only art card and masking tape, each student then reinterpreted their chosen artefact, giving it a new and contemporary aesthetic that was visually pleasing.

Each art work illustrates the process of concept development: from the initial construction to de-construction, and finally to re-construction to achieve a visually successful outcome.

This exhibition is part of the Singapore Sun Festival 2010.
