Geoff Brown and Hickory Strings November 10, 2012

Boston-based Hickory Strings is an eclectic string ensemble, fusing elements of jazz, bluegrass, classical, and world music into a unique brand of modern American chamber music. Led by performance faculty member, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Geoff Brown (mandolin, Bulgarian tambura, and tenor banjo), the band features original music arranged for an assortment of acoustic string instruments. The member line up is completed by Gian Pangaro (double bass) and Tev Stevig (oud, guitar, and banjo).
