Gene Pompa, comedian and writer, was born in East Los Angeles California. He has been a Mexican-American most of his life, except for a few years during the 1970's, when he was a practicing Chicano. Gene became a product of his multi-ethnic upbringing in the suburbs of Los Angeles and it was this diverse background which ultimately inspired Gene to incorporate universal themes into his stand-up comedy and writing. Gene's television credits include several appearances on NBC's Late Night with Conan OBrien and CBS's Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. Pompa has also starred in his own half hour Comedy Central special as well as a 30 minute comedy showcase on SiTV. His acting has been featured on FOX's In Living Color, CBS's Style & Substance and The Brothers Garcia on Nickelodean. You may have also seen Gene on Showtime, HBO, MTV, MUN2, Galavision or the Game Show Network. Pompa's offbeat perspective on comedy crosses all racial and ethnic lines and goes over well with everyone from college age audiences to a more mature crowd. Greatly influenced by Johnny Carson, David Letterman and Steve Martin, Gene Pompa has been inspired to develop his own brand of late-night humor with "The Nite Nite Show" - a show with great social relavance and irrelevance.
