Gems of the Collection: Community as Curator March 23, 2007

The Witte Museum opened as San Antonio's first public museum in 1926 and to celebrate the museum's 80th anniversary, a variety of treasures from the vast collection will be on display together in one exhibition. With more than 170,000 artifacts to choose from, the museum asks San Antonio residents to choose their favorite objects they have enjoyed seeing throughout the years to create the exhibition.
