Geja's Cafe Celebrates Valentine's Day February 7, 2011

Geja’s Café, 340 W. Armitage, is planning the most romantic Valentine’s Day celebration in its 45 year history. For nine days, from Sunday, February 6th through Monday, February 14th, the renowned “Restaurant of Romance” will be elegantly decorated and feature sparkling champagne, “Love Note Wednesday,” live flamenco and classical guitarists, photo keepsakes, and delicious sizzling hot fondue cuisine. Special this year, Geja’s has partnered with Stems, a local custom florist, to offer a unique bonus to lovers who make a Valentine’s Day reservation at Geja’s Café.

For a $25, guests can add a beautiful selection of fresh seasonal flowers to be sent to their valentine as a confirmation of their reservation. The floral arrangement will be delivered within 2-3 days after the reservation is made to anywhere within the Chicago city limits. Additionally, Stems will offer participants 3 different flower arrangements available at a discount for table adornment at their Geja’s Valentine’s Day dinner. Guests will have the opportunity to select this lavish detail for their date upon making reservations at 773.281.9101. This offer is subject to availability.

Double Anniversary Discount on Monday, February 7th
One of Geja’s most popular specials each year! With proof of total years married, couples will receive a double discount on their food purchases. For example, couples wed 15 years will receive a 30% food discount. Not valid with any other discounts or promotions.

Love Note Wednesday on February 9th
On Wednesday, all guests are encouraged to bring in a copy of their most meaningful love note that was written to their significant other at some point in the relationship. Each love note will be collected, read, and should contain the appropriate contact information. The writer of the most romantic and heartwarming love letter will win dinner for two, once a year for the number of years the note is old (limit $150 per visit). The writer of the second most tender love note, will win a dinner for two (limit $150), and the third most touching love letter will receive a $75 gift certificate. All other participants will be e-mailed a $25 gift certificate. Winners will be contacted on Valentine’s Day, Monday, February 14th, with the good news. The very best love story is your own, so why not reminisce about it in Geja’s romantic atmosphere.

The Valentine’s Dinner Package includes Geja’s creamy Gruyere cheese fondue, a glass of sparkling rose, Geja’s salad with tangy Dijon vinaigrette, entrée fondue of Beef Tenderloin, Lobster Tail and Jumbo Shrimp, Geja’s luscious flaming chocolate dessert fondue with coffee. Reservations for the Valentine’s Dinner Package begin Saturday, January 15 at 9:00 am and continue Monday through Friday from 9-4pm. A credit card payment at the time of reservation is required. Geja’s regular reservation policies and menu will be in place for the remainder of the Valentine’s week.
