Putting in a placeholder for the second Geeks on Bikes event. Last time we rode out from Hackney to Chiswick via Epping Forest. Most importantly we ended up at the Pub on the Park at the end.
The event non-competitive, fun ride for the geek-minded cyclist followed by beer, what's not to like?
Does anyone have a preferred route this time around? Perhaps up the Lea Valley to Waltham Abbey? Let me know whether the date suits and chip in with any preferred routes, distances etc.

wuss.
Another vote for less hills.
More hills!
Rather shamefully, I never shared the track of the last one. Here it is on Google Maps: http://tinyurl.com/5lu7r8
Geekbike + N95 ftw!
More hills and more booze!!
You traitors!
HILLZ
So any ideas on a route? I spotted intranation in full gear this morning so he's obviously in training. James, what about the Walham Abbey? Too flat? one obvious one is out to richmond park + a lap that comes out at around 40miles. But much flatter thn before. but also trafficy until you get out to the park
After last nights discussion, looks like we'll ride out Richmond park, do a lap, then beer up on the ridge overlooking the river. Then train home (if you don't want to ride back)
Oh dear, not going to make it. Will actually be right by Richmond Park, but avec famille. Have fun!
I wouldn't mind coming along but there's no details on this event. Is there a mailing list or website that I'm not finding?
There is no website or mailing list!
This is what we'll be doing: we'll ride out Richmond park, do a lap, then beer up on the ridge overlooking the river. Then train home (if you don't want to ride back) from starting point mentioned.
I just moved to the city. Is there a specific place in Richmond park you are leaving from?
Change of start location. Lets meet at Pub on the Park in London Fields. Postcode is E8 3PE
Seems pointless going out to ship aground when we're heading west!
