Gavilan College Cosmetology Department Presents Puttin’ on The Ritz March 23, 2012

What: Puttin’ on The Ritz is the theme for the Annual Spring Style Show which is also a student competition. This year’s show will also be a scholarship fundraiser.
Who: This year there will be approximately 35 teams competing in the Spring Style show. The students will be responsible for dressing their model, creating original nail designs, hairstyles and color. If the team does not stick to the theme, which was chosen by the students, they will be disqualified.

Four of the participating students will be awarded scholarships. The recipients’ names will be announced in May, and will be awarded at the Financial Aid Scholarship Ceremony. Two seniors will be selected and receive up to $250.00 each, one intermediate student will receive up to $200.00, and one freshmen student will be selected to receive up to $100.00.
Salon Centric and Matrix will judge their own competition, and pick a winner for a large basket full of hair care products, and offer a grand prize of coloring products combined with free color education classes worth $400.00.

Where: The Gavilan College Theater at 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., Gilroy, 95020.
Tickets: $5.00
All proceeds will go to the Scholarship fund.
