“Magisterial and meticulous, brilliantly clear in texture yet able to conjure with the obscure depths of sound.” —The Sydney Morning Herald
Garrick Ohlsson has become well-known to Seattle audiences. This recital, in which the pianist will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Franz Liszt’s birth, will mark the 13th performance as part of the President’s Piano Series. The warm reception he has received at Meany Hall is not uncommon. Since his triumph as winner of the 1970 Chopin International Piano Competition, Ohlsson has established himself worldwide as a musician of magisterial interpretive and technical prowess.
