The Garfield Park Conservatory opened in April 1908, and this April we’d like to invite you to our 100th birthday party! With activities, treats, games and live entertainment, our 100th birthday party is going to be a wonderful day of celebration for the whole family! Come enjoy a Vienna Beef hot dog, a bag of popcorn, some Baskin Robbins ice cream, and of course birthday cake! Meet Jerry Azumah, former Chicago Bear and Comcast Sportsnet commentator. Storytellers and musicians will perform for your listening pleasure, and face painting will be available for a small fee. Special Education Stations will be open throughout the Conservatory – see the “Children’s Activities” section below for more details. Special activities will also take place in the new “Conserve-A-Story” exhibit in the Community Room – see the “Conserve-A-Story” section below for details.
