Thadious M. Davis, Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of English at Vanderbilt University, was a member of the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers class of 2001?2002. She is the author of Nella Larsen, Novelist of the Harlem Renaissance: A Woman?s Life Unveiled; Faulkner?s ?Negro?: Art and the Southern Context; and, most recently, Games of Property: Law, Race, Gender, and Faulkner?s Go Down, Moses. Professor Davis received the Anna Julia Cooper Award for Feminist Scholarship from Spelman College and was a Du Bois Institute Fellow at Harvard University.
