Gallery ChimMaya presents Diversity - Latinismo on Canvas March 25, 2007

Gallery ChimMaya's Spring exhibition displays the diverse styles that are present in Latino/Chicano art. Each artist was asked to submit pieces that best showcase the culture and identity of the Latino/Chicano community. The ever-present symbols of male, female, life, death, love, dance, music, and nature are some of the subjects that are illustrated in vivid color and bold images. The diversity of mediums... oils, acrylics, pastels, silkscreen, and pencil will draw the viewer into the everyday world of Latinismo.
