Galen Rowell, Restrospective May 1, 2009

On Friday, May 1, 2009, the G2 Gallery celebrates the life of renowned adventure photographer Galen Rowell. Galen Avery Rowell’s oeuvre blurs the lines between art, photojournalism, and personal record. His passion for mountain ranges and vertical spaces inspired ascents that resulted in a body of work rooted in beauty and self-discovery as much as his desire to share knowledge of rare and compromised places with the world. Live music by cellist Hope Easton.
