A fused glass jewelry making workshop will be held at Bodine Pottery the weekend of May 29th. The class is a two day calss and registration is open now.
Leslie Turner from Tutwiler, MS will be teaching the class. Class size is limited, so early enrollment is essential. Workshop fee is $165. A deposit of $65 is due with registration. The balance of $100 is due in the first session.
Workshop hours are Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon, May 31 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Participants in the workshop will learn in a "project oriented" environment. Each participant will make three pieces and finish them. The sessions will cover glass compatibility, types of fusing, glass cutting, glass etching, stacking glass for fusing, fusing a "bead" with a hole, working with inclusions in glass, firing glass, and more if time permits.
Each participant must bring a pair of safety goggles for eye protection. All other supplies and firing fees are included in the workshop fees.
