Funny But Mean hosts benefit at the Marine’s Memorial Theatre.
Funny But Mean, the bi-coastal comedy troupe will perform on March 17th, 2008 at the Marine’s Memorial Theatre to benefit The Water Project (www.thewaterproject.com ).
The Marine’s Memorial Theatre has generously donated one night to sponsor Funny But Mean’s latest charity performance. The group, which has produced eleven original productions in New York City and San Francisco and has appeared at The Wings Theatre, the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre, The Improv Café and The Magic Theatre, will bring their “cruel and unusual” brand of comedy to raise money for The Water Project.
The Water Project is a non-profit, charitable organization that works to end needless suffering around the world by bringing clean water to desperate communities. So far, The Water Project has helped over ten thousand Africans improve their access to clean water and every cent donated goes to actual construction.
Funny But Mean will offer many of their favorite pieces and will feature many of the talented performers who have appeared over the years including Liam Vincent, Anthony Nemirovsky, Sarah Nealis, Ignacio Orellana-Garcia and Zoë Stagg. The show starts at 8:00 pm and tickets are $15. The Marines Memorial Theatre is located at 609 Sutter Street at Mason in downtown San Francisco.
