Considered by many to be the founding fathers of funk, The Meters created a unique sound that lasted through the sixties and seventies and was reborn in the late eighties. Their trademark sound blends funk, blues, and dance grooves with a New Orleans vibe. In 1994, after a few changes in personnel, they were officially christened the funky METERS. The band’s line up is comprised of Art Neville, George Porter Jr., Russell Batiste Jr. and rejoining the band on guitar after a 4 year hiatus is Brian Stoltz. Please join us for an amazing night of music and show your support for Blue Bear’s youth music outreach programs!
