Fundraiser for East African Children on Wednesday, May 23rd May 23, 2007

The Dobbyn Foundation announced today that it will hold its First Annual Fundraiser in Boston on Wednesday, May 23 at the Bell in Hand Tavern. The event will run from 6:30-9:30 pm and feature live music, appetizers and a cash bar. The $20 donation at the door will directly go to fund the Dobbyn Foundation’s educational initiatives. The event is open to the public.

The Dobbyn Foundation is a Boston based non-profit organization whose objective is to raise and distribute money that will enable the children of East Africa to achieve secondary education. The Dobbyn Foundation seeks to be a functional advocate in secondary education and is committed to the principal that education is a fundamental human right. Their vision is to empower children by providing access to education by eliminating barriers, which prohibit learning for the individual and their community.

The Dobbyn Foundation, Inc. is an officially recognized 501(c)(3) corporation registered with the IRS. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
