We've had over 90 formal RSVPs so far, and anticipate many more walk-in guests as well.
There are only 130 seats available, with limited standing room on a first come, first serve basis.
To save a seat, RSVP by adding your name to the "I'm Going" list or email cduncan@fundinguniverse.com to let us know you'll be attending.
At LivePitch, early stage entrepreneurs have 2 minutes to pitch to a panel of experts and a live audience in order to:
1. Practice pitching.
2. Ask for and receive honest feedback.
3. Let the community know what resources are needed to move forward (partners, services, funding, connections, talent).
4. Gain visibility in the business network.
Everyone at LivePitch receives $100 of "fake money" to "invest" in their favorite entrepreneurs, with prizes awarded to 2 panel and audience favorites.
There will be 60 minutes of pitching, and 30 minutes for general networking.
If you'd like to apply to pitch, please contact Carolynn Duncan at cduncan@fundinguniverse.com.
To be clear, LivePitch is not a fundraising event. Please do not apply to pitch or attend with the expectation that investment offers will be a natural outflow of this event.
SpeedPitch, on the other hand, is targeted toward connecting entrepreneurs and investors. We will begin holding SpeedPitch events in Seattle in the near future.
Who Should Attend?
Presenting entrepreneurs, investors, and others in the startup community are all invited to attend.
LivePitch is uniquely structured with clear guidelines for attendance and participation. These will be emailed prior to the event and available at the door, to help you know what to expect and how to get the biggest benefit from attending.
Want to Pitch, Judge, or Sponsor?
15 companies will present, with the application period for pitching beginning on June 5th. LivePitch is sponsored by Epic Ventures, with panel judges including:
Nathan Kaiser, nPost.com
Todd Dean, NorthWest Keiretsu Forum
Tom Ryan, Atlas Recruiting
Jim Roberts, UW Technology Transfer
Buzz Bruggeman, ActiveWords
Rebecca Lovell, Alliance of Angels
Stoel Rives
We have room for additional judges or sponsors— email cduncan@fundinguniverse.com if interested.
Cost to Attend, Present
Our first Seattle LivePitch will feature adjustable pricing. In other words, there is no pre-defined price— at the event, we'll invite you to fill out a short survey and pay what you consider fair market value for attending.
The reason we're doing this is because the entrepreneurial community has specifically asked to be included in defining a price point for pitching that is affordable and fair, and we’re accommodating that request. We'll have a list of suggested prices available, in case there are any awkward moments.
A Call for Community Feedback
LivePitch is your event-- we just set it up and do the behind the scenes work. If you want to weigh in on what happens at LivePitch, please attend a community coffee on Tuesday, June 10th, at 7:00 pm at the Pioneer Square Zeitgeist.
RSVP to attend the coffee here:

In the meanwhile, feel free to let other entrepreneurs, investors, and others in the community know about LivePitch, and start getting ready to pitch!
Please RSVP to let us know you're coming. We'll only have room for 100-150 attendees, so if the list is full, put your name on the watch list.
