Knowing what behavior is appropriate or acceptable in a situation is an important skill. Children develop this understanding when consistent limits and realistic expectations of their behavior are clearly and positively defined. Caregivers can use a variety of positive guidance methods. Understanding and following simple rules can help children develop self-control.

Saber qu comportamiento es apropiado o aceptable en una situacin es una habilidad importante. Los nios desarrollan esta comprensin cuando se definen de manera clara y positiva con lmites coherentes y las expectativas realistas de su comportamiento. Los proveedoras pueden usar una variedad de mtodos positivos de gua. Comprender y seguir unas reglas sencillas puede ayudar a los nios a desarrollar su autocontrol.
