Berklee College of Music's fifth Kendall Square Concert Series takes place every Thursday throughout the summer—and it's free for lunchtime music lovers. July 9 brings student composer/pianist/vocalist Neara Russell, who has been winning awards for her original rock songs since she started writing them while growing up in Wisconsin. She was 17 when she arrived at Berklee as a full-ride Presidential Scholar. Her total focus on playing and writing is proving her to be an innovative new voice in rock music.
Concerts will be postponed in inclement weather. The series is sponsored by the BioMed Realty Trust, Inc.
