"From West Africa to West Philly" is a fundraising event for the Uhuru Movement's work building a unified struggle for African liberation. The program features video footage from the recent Uhuru Movement delegation to the founding conference of the African People's Socialist Party - Sierra Leone, plus video presentations by Chairman Omali Yeshitela (founder and leader of the worldwide Uhuru Movement), Chernoh Alpha M. Bah (leader of Uhuru Movement in Sierra Leone) and other leaders in the African Socialist International. In Philly, the Uhuru Movement has been leading bold struggles to win black power, demanding social justice for the African community through the Hands Off the City Hall 2 struggle, the "They Say Cutback, We Say Payback" weekend of resistance and most recently, the People's Law School. Learn about the struggle in Sierra Leone, West Africa where the African People's Socialist Party of Sierra Leone (APSP-SL) just held its founding conference! With the expansion of the Uhuru Movement in Sierra Leone through the launch of the APSP-SL, the struggle to make the wealth in Sierra Leone and all of Africa work for Africa and her people dispersed throughout the Americas, Europe and around the world is intensified!
