Professor of Sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London, Lisa Adkins, will deliver her Inaugural Lecture titled: ‘From Retroactivation to Futurity: The End of the Sexual Contract?’ The Lecture will be introduced by the Warden of Goldsmiths, Professor Geoffrey Crossick, followed by a reception.

Professor Lisa Adkins is an expert in the sociology of economic life (especially the sociology of post-industrial economies), social and cultural theory, and the sociology of gender and sexuality. She is author of ‘Feminism After Bourdieu’ (with B. Skeggs) (2005, Oxford: Blackwell) and ‘Revisions: Gender and Sexuality in Late Modernity’ (2002, Buckingham: Open University Press).
