Two Museum employees on opposite sides of a hate crime incident over 20 years ago speak monthly at the Museum of Tolerance. A hate crime victim and a former hate crime perpetrator will hold a special dialogue, From Hate to Hope, at the Museum of Tolerance (MOT). Twenty years ago, Matthew was a young teenager who was disowned by his family for being gay - he now works as a manager at the MOT. Tim was a former neo-Nazi who speaks of his experiences at the MOT. Through meeting and conversation, they realized that years ago Matthew had been victimized by Tims gang. Theirs is the remarkable story of reconciliation between the perpetrator and the victim of a hate crime. From Hate to Hope is held monthly at the MOT on the first Sunday of the month at 3:00 p.m. and is free with paid admission to the Museum.
