This discussion is part of YBCA’s Bay Area Now 6: Part 1: Ideas, YBCA’s signature triennial celebration of local artists, which kicks off with a series of thought-provoking conversations on the rich culture of the Bay Area and its impact on six key areas of innovation: Food, Futurism, Community Activism, Radical Identities, Environmentalism, and Technology. These free, public conversations will feature local luminaries from each field and dialogue with the multi-disciplinary artists selected for the BAN6 showcase. Through September 25, 2011, BAN6 will present a diverse set of performances, films and visual art exhibitions produced by the local artists who have participated in the BAN6 conversations.
