Fridays at Sunset: R&B Singers Melanie Fiona and Raheem DeVaughn May 27, 2011

R&B singers Melanie Fiona and Raheem DeVaughn will open this year’s Fridays at Sunset concert series on May 27 at Kanawha Plaza.

Winner of the 2010 Best New Artist award at the Soul Train Music Awards, Melanie Fiona rose to fame with hits ”Give It To Me Right,” “It Kills Me,” and more recently “Gone and Never Coming Back.” Her new album, The MF Life, is scheduled to be released in July 2011.

Requested by fans to make another appearance, Raheem DeVaughn has become a Fridays at Sunset favorite. His most recent singles include “Bulletproof” featuring Ludacris and “I Don’t Care.” DeVaughn was nominated for "Best R&B Album" for The Love and War MasterPeace at the 2011 Grammy Awards.
