Friday Science After Five April 15, 2011

Fun with Bugs! On this Friday Science After Five we'll discover the fascinating world of bugs. We'll have the opportunity to see all kinds of mounted insect specimens up close, such as the goliath beetle, the Ulysses swallowtail, and the giant-winged phasmid. Our friends The Bug People will be here between 5:30 and 7:00 pm with live tarantulas and scorpions, lots of stories about why bugs are so important to the environment, and offer brave souls an opportunity to hold a walking stick or a cockroach... Visitors can also enjoy Toys: The Inside Story in the exhibit hall and of course will want to watch Bugs! in the Dome at 5:30 pm, 6:15 pm, or 7:00 pm.
