Enjoy live music from the Rebeca Mauleón Quintet this Friday night at the de Young Museum. As a prolific pianist, vocalist, composer, and educator, Mauleón has been at the forefront of Latin and World music for over twenty-five years. She has performed with such luminaries as Carlos Santana, Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Joe Henderson, and Steve Winwood. Don’t miss the Rebeca Mauleón Quintet’s performance in Wilsey Court from 6:30–8:30 pm. All galleries, including the exhibitions Chim: The Photography of David Seymour (1911–1956), Michael Arcega: Homing Pidgin, and Peter Max and the Summer of Love, stay open until 8:45 pm. The de Young Museum Store, the Café, and the Observation Tower also stay open late.
