What Remains: The Life and Work of Sally Mann
Zeitgeist Films, 2006 (not rated, 80 minutes)
Documentary by Steven Cantor
Sally Mann creates photographic artwork that challenges viewers’ values and attitudes. She first came to international prominence in 1992 with “Immediate Family,” a series of complex and enigmatic pictures of her own children. This video is a rare document of Sally Mann’s creative processes as she works on her photo series on various aspects of death and decay at and around her family’s farm in Virginia.
