FreshDirect, New York City’s premier online grocer, in partnership with The Children’s Museum of the Arts (CMA), celebrates the launch of KidPower™, FreshDirect’s new line of freshly prepared kids meals, with the FreshArt initiative which invites students in grades three through six to create works of art that show what it means to share a family meal.
The initiative will be launched in the FreshDirect delivery areas in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Three pieces of artwork – one from each of the participating states – will be selected to be featured large-scale on the sides of select FreshDirect delivery trucks. Also, a $1,500 monetary award will be donated to the schools designated by the parents or guardians of the creators of the selected art. The designated schools must be located in FreshDirect's delivery areas. A number of art entries will be exhibited in The Children's Museum of the Arts in Fall 2011.
Entries will be accepted through May 15, 2011. Entry forms and contest details can be downloaded at www.freshdirect.com/FreshArt.
