ART ATTACK - Frère Independent's upcoming benefit party and vernissage of the PooL Art Fair.
This exciting fundraiser evening will feature the works of innovative and challenging artists, a raffle, silent auction, a Cava room, DJ and Live Entertainment. The purpose of the event is to raise funds to support Frère Independent's mission of supporting and promoting artists who do not yet have gallery representation in New York . PooL is the successor to the acclaimed New York Independent Art Fair (November 2000), a groundbreaking exhibition that attracted thousands of US and international visitors.
In the tradition of Courbet's Salon des Independents, the unique approach of the PooL Art Fair offers an exciting alternative to the "art fair" experience for dealers and collectors, as well as select guests.
The PooL Art Fair, which runs from Sept 28th to Sept 30th, converts 15 to 20 rooms of the Chelsea Hotel into intimate galleries for 40 to 60, talented, international artists to show their work. The public is invited to view the exhibits, enjoy the art, and have the unique opportunity to meet the artists.
On the evening before the public opening, the Vernissage and benefit party affords 300 select guests the opportunity to preview the exhibition, mingle closely with artists and others supporters of the arts, and enjoy live entertainment at an after-party in the Star Lounge.
Supporters at the "Senior" level are invited to a reception at filmmaker Sam Bassett's stunning, garden penthouse on the roof of the Chelsea Hotel and have the opportunity to bid on works from these emerging artists at a Silent Auction in Mr. Bassett's penthouse. Those supporting our mission at the "Junior" level will also be able to view the art in an intimate setting and speak with artists in guest room galleries. Both Senior and Junior supporters will also have the opportunity to win prizes donated by Art Attack sponsors such as Elie Tahari, MoMA, ART FORUM International, The Zephirin Group, Inc., Spain4NYC Inc. and more!
