French Wines Discovery: Bordeaux Wine Class June 17, 2008

Discover Bordeaux and its 57 appellations.

We will explain the main differences about right and left bank as well as the different classifications.

Bordeaux is the world largest wine region with over 15,000 growers.

For red wines, we will taste different Bordeaux blends (called meritage in the US) and understand how soil, weather and blending techniques are affecting the taste and quality of wines.

For whites, we will taste both dry and dessert wines such as Sauternes.

The class includes a tasting of 6 wines, cheese and crackers during the tasting.
