Don’t miss this pawtriotic animal adoption event celebrating the pursuit of life, liberty and a home for shelter pets in need. The Freedom Fest Pet Adoption will take place Saturday and Sunday July 9 and 10 Northeast Valley Animal Care Center, 15321 S. Brand Blvd. in Mission Hills, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Convenient to the 405 and 5 freeways, Mission Hills is a suburban community in the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles.
Dozens of adorable, adoptable dogs and cats from Los Angeles shelters will be available for adoption and showcased with the help of Best Friends’ staff and volunteers. Adopters can fall in love with pets with names like, “Doodle,” “Dandy,” “Stars,” “Stripes,” “Rocket” and “Liberty.” There will be adoption counselors on hand to help everyone find an appropriate match, and trainers will be available to offer behavior tips and to acclimate dogs with new adopters.
The event will feature give-aways, contests, prizes and a patriotic photo booth. All adopters will receive a complimentary bag of Natural Balance dog or cat food.
A sparking selection of newly groomed and healthy dogs and cats of every breed, age, color and size will be there, hoping to meet their new perfect person or forever family. All have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and are available at adoption fees under $100.
This is the third in a series of pet adoption events co-sponsored by L.A. Animal Services and Best Friends Animal Society in an effort to increase pet adoption at our overcrowded city shelters and spread the adoption message.
