*It's a Post-Holiday Re-Gifting FreeMeet!*

Join us for a day of re-gifting our excess, unwanted, but totally reusable stuff.

Saturday, January 21, 2006, 11am-4pm
At the Sixth Street Community Center
*FREE*

[Please note: our goal is to reduce waste by finding new homes for unwanted items.
Please bring give-aways as early as possible
(no later than 3pm) and be sure that all items
can be easily carried away by one person, and do not require a cab, etc.]

Bring your unwanted, but useful stuff to give away, or come by to see what?s being offered! Nothing is for sale--everything goes on a first-come first-served basis.

What can I bring/get at the FreeMeet?
Just about any working, reusable item can be dropped off (and taken home!) at the FreeMeet, such as:
* gently used clothing * working appliances and electronics * books and magazines * sports equipment * games and toys * kitchen items *
* office supplies * arts and crafts materials * food and cosmetic items, if sealed/unused * plants * music * household items (candles, linens, etc) *

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will also be collecting rechargeable (not alkaline) batteries and cell phones for recycling. For more info: www.call2recycle.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please keep items free, legal, and appropriate for all ages (i.e. no pirated software, no weapons, no pornography, no prescription or over-the-counter drugs). Due to space constraints, we cannot accept large pieces of furniture. Please limit items to those which can be easily carried away by hand, in a tote bag, or with a grocery cart. Feel free to tag your donations with information about how it works, why it should be taken home, or where the giftee can email a thank-you.

**Please be sensitive to the allergies of others. Leave animals at home and don't bring anything excessively hairy or items otherwise well-loved by animals.

All materials left at the end of the day will be donated to charity to the extent possible.

Please bring your give-aways NO LATER THAN 3pm--this allows people a chance to go through them and take them home. If you arrive with donations after 3pm we will provide you with names of charities who will accept your items.

?Great opportunity to find office supplies for Eco Non-profit!?

?Great stuff! Let?s do it more often!?

?I loved it. It?s the right way to handle the situation of excess material belongings.?

?Best city find ever. Proof that wandering the city streets is not a fruitless prospect.?

?Wish it happened every weekend.?

?Thanks so much! - From a single mom and 13-year old daughter about to go to camp (needed clothing).?

?I explained why we came, to gather up kid's jeans and sweaters appropriate for back to school [because] many parents spend grocery and rent money for back to school shopping?I ended up with a "committee" of helpers, and ? we made it halfway to our goal of 100 pairs of jeans?! Thanks to the Volunteers?we are people who striveto make our world a better place.?
