Free Women's Self-Defense Lecture April 24, 2009

Martial arts expert Lyn Addy will hold a free lecture: “Self-Defense for Women: How NOT to be a Statistic.” Addy, who has won international competitions in lei tai (full-contact) fighting, and who is a long-time martial arts instructor, will cover:

--date/acquaintance rape
--use of weapons
--attacks from behind
--chokes
--ground attacks
--legal aspects
--attacker mindset
--home defense

The next day, Addy will hold an intensive workshop from 10:30am-3:00pm. This workshop will go into more detail, and give participants intense practice with self-defense techniques in multiple scenarios.

The Friday lecture is free.

Only $65 for Saturday's event if registered by April 22. After April 22, add an additional $15.

Prior registration for Saturday's workshop is required.
